7shifts adds actual labor integration for Toast POS

Today we’re excited to announce a new, deeper labor-data integration with our friends at Toast, the all-in-one restaurant technology platform. With this new integration, restaurateurs can sync actual labor data between the two platforms to compare variances and get a real-time look at labor costs to help better manage labor costs and make more profitable scheduling decisions.

In addition to becoming the deepest-integrated labor management solution in the Toast Partner Ecosystem, this new integration builds upon our previous integrations. It empowers restaurant managers and operators to forecast sales to help make more accurate scheduling decisions,  and it enforces employee-specific schedules to prevent early clock-ins and to further reduce labor costs.

What does this integration do?

This integration syncs actual labor data recorded in your Toast POS with 7shifts in order to compare it against your forecasted or scheduled labor. You then see this real-time data in the 7shifts dashboard alongside variances from your schedule, and you’ll have the information you need to make efficient and profitable scheduling decisions in the future. How does this integration benefit my restaurant?

This integration helps you manage and reduce your labor costs by giving you the ability to compare your forecasted labor (aka what was scheduled) versus your actual labor (aka what was worked). When you compare the two together, you determine your variances, labor percentage, and sales per man hour. You can use this information to better understand your operating costs, make more accurate schedules, and permanently reduce your labor costs.
