Business decline as a shift end time

In the food service industry (restaurants, bars etc), it’s common to send an employee home when business dies down. This means that publishing a shift for that employee until a specific time or until close wouldn’t suffice. To remedy this problem, we’ve introduced a shift end time labelled “BD”, with BD standing for business decline.

To schedule an employee until “BD”, go to the schedules page, then click on the plus button to add a shift. You will see a checkbox that says “BD”.

Checking that off and publishing the schedule will alert that employee that they’re working until business decline.
