Everything you need to know about 7shifts Tip Management
If you want to set up an automated tip pool (where tips are distributed based on a percentage of collected tips or net sales), you’ll need to use Toast, TouchBistro, Square, Revel, or GoTab POS.
For non-automated tip pools, you can create them with any POS—no restrictions there.
No supported POS? No problem! You can still use Tip Management by manually declaring tips in 7punches, our Time Clocking app.
Tip Management supports automated payroll integrations with ADP Run, ADP Workforce Now, Gusto, and 7shifts Payroll (available in the US only). We can provide CSV export for tip data for ADP Workforce Now, Paylocity, UKG, and Paychex.
Note: with the Tip Management report, you can still report paid tips to payroll even if you don’t use any of the supported payroll providers.
Tips can be shared based on a percentage of total tips or a percentage of net sales. They can be distributed equally based on hours worked, by specific percentages, or by weighted points.
Note: hours worked is a factor in all distribution methods.
No it doesn’t. You can configure your tip calculation settings if you want to determine whether tips should be reported through payroll integrations or exports.
