Today is a big day for us, but an even bigger day for our restaurant partners.
We've raised $80MM in new funding led by Softbank with continued support from Ten Coves Capital and Enlightened Hospitality, the fund affiliated with Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group. With these new funds, I'm tremendously grateful to be able to accelerate our mission—to simplify team management and improve performance for restaurants.
Like many of our restaurant partners, I grew up working in the restaurant industry. It was 8 years ago that I built the first version of 7shifts for my dad. It was a way to solve the scheduling and communication headaches that restaurateurs like you often deal with. I never imagined that it would evolve to what it is today—a team management platform that helps over 27,000 restaurants and more than 700,000 restaurant workers across North America simplify their operations and makes their lives easier.

Deepening our compliance support:
New compliance rules and regulations continue to roll out quickly across the country. For restaurants, it can be stressful and to stay on top of it all. Our focus is to keep pace with these ever-changing rules and regulations and evolve our platform alongside them— so you can lean on us to cover the gaps.
The pandemic showed the world what we already knew—that the restaurant industry is full of incredible people—people that are humble, passionate, and incredibly resilient. To me, this resilience is most accurately described by Chumbawamba in their 90s smash hit, Tubthumping… “I get knocked down, but I get up again. You're never gonna keep me down”.
